Bevor ein Sensor im PRTG eingeplant wird, kann er interaktiv mittels des Profilers getestet werden. Nachdem der Sensor mit dem Profiler ausprobiert wurde, ist dieser mit folgenden Schritten im PRTG einplanbar:

- Im PRTG: "Neuer Sensor", "Benutzer def. Sensor" und "Programm/Script"
- es wird der Sensorname, hier "SPS LedStates.Exe" im Prtg unter "Programm" ausgewählt
- das zugehörige Profil, hier "Sps04.S00.02" wird unter "Parameter" eingetragen
- falls der Sensor selbst einen Parameter hat, hier "LED-States", wird auch dieser,
getrennt durch ein Leerzeichen, im Prtg unter "Parameter" hinzugefügt
- für eine serielle Abarbeitung empfielt sich die Angabe eines "Mutex"-Namens, hier "SpsPrtg"

After a SPS-Sensor is testet via the Profiler it can be transferred to PRTG as follows:

- Within PRTG: "New Sensor", "User defined Sensor" and "Program/Script"
- the Sensor-Name, here "SPS LedStates.Exe" is entered to Prgt by "Programm"
- the used Profile, here "Sps04.S00.02" is put within Prtg at "Parameter"
. if the Sensor itself contains a parmater, here "LED-States", it has
to be added to "Parameter" by Blank and the string
- for the serial working it is recommended to use a "Mutex"-Name, here "SpsPrtg"
